ABOUT
Wife, Friend, Fur Mom, Amateur Book Worm, Lover of Coffee, Yarn, and All Things Cozy
After living in Houston and Austin, Texas over twenty-five years, I took a leap of faith in moving across the country to the wild and wonderful West Virginia in 2019. Although completely starting over was a huge challenge, I aspired to shake things up with the opportunity to adventure and experience the wonder of all four seasons! My then-boyfriend, a native West Virginian, and I bought a house sight unseen, loaded up our fur babies, hit the road, and never looked back. Since then, I have been able to explore, make new friends, get married on the New River Gorge, and became a Mountaineer at WVU to follow my professional dream.
I have worked in early childhood development and education centers, at a Crisis Residential Unit, and as part of an Assertive Community Treatment team. Through these teams, I have supported court-ordered and voluntary dual-diagnosis clients with severe and persistent mental illness with activities of daily living, crisis intervention, psychological stabilization, positive socialization, and withdrawal management needs. I have been gifted the opportunity through these experiences to provide behavioral and developmental case management, advocacy, and therapeutic individual and group services for those of all ages and walks of life. I strive to continue broadening my horizons so I can play a meaningful role in helping you put your best foot forward.
