Approach
Eclectic, collaborative, strength-based approach rooted in Psychoanalytical & CBT theories.

I am passionate about being an interactive, supportive, and (gently) challenging therapist. Our busy lives leave us little time to process emotions, leaving disappointments, fears, resentment and pain no outlet until they reach overwhelming levels. I focus on earning your trust so that we can grapple with these difficult issues together. Using psychoanalytic theory as a foundation, I integrate evidenced based interventions to customize a treatment that is both effective and tailored to you. My approach focuses on creating lasting change to help you live a more thoughtful, fulfilling, and rewarding life.
I am not a "bobble-head" therapist. I provide every individual or organization with solid tools and a focused plan in order to build lives that are rewarding and relationships to be proud of. I fuse ideas from different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, Existentialism, Functional Theory, and Transformational Leadership Theory with strength-based life coaching to provide an approach that is compassionate while being results oriented.

This is absolutely and totally ALL ABOUT YOU! You are terminally unique and I strive to meet you exactly where you are. This is when true healing and change begins.
ABOUT
Closet Singer, Wanna-be Surfer, Curious World Travel, Harley Rider, Cat-Herder, Army Wife, Mom.
People have sung “Hey Jude” to me my entire life and you’d think I’d be sick of it by now, but I’m not ~ music & laughter are wonderful ways to connect! I approach life with a natural curiosity and a strong appreciation for cultural considerations. Having lived all over the world & moved 19 times, I know life can be tricky to navigate. Sometimes learning to breathe and exhale are the major wins in life!!
I have worked in maximum security prisons system, with military families, first responders, trauma victims, government officials, celebrities, high-net worth executives, moms, dads, college students, young entrepreneurs, women, men ~ people nationwide just trying to find their footing & place in this world. The one universal truth regardless of who you are or what you do~ we all have storms. My number one priority is to walk with you through your storm, watch the clouds clear, and experience the warmth and light of the sun again. I want to challenge you to adjust your lens, generate new possibilities, create opportunities, and break through barriers. I commit to walk with you and help you to find ways to face life’s challenges, discover your inner strength, renew your courage, and begin a new journey towards healing, resiliency, and new possibilities.
My loves are my husband of 33 years, a retired COL in the US Army, my three Man-Boys, my daughter-in-love, my live-in parents and of course my labradoodle Mulligan. If I'm near an ocean~ I love to long board & dig my toes in the sand. Regardless of where we are or what we do, I truly believe we all have the ability to matter. We just have to choose how. I welcome the opportunity to co-pilot.
